Observation: We’ve seen many businesses fold in the last year, even though they were thriving a few years ago. Conversely, many brand new businesses are really taking off and are taking market share.
Fact: Many traditional business practices that worked for generations just aren’t enough in today’s digital business environment. With improvements in technology and the Internet, people are spending more and more time online, checking emails, tweeting, making connections on LinkedIn and Facebook. Which means people have less time for anything else!
If you can’t give people a good reason to call you or visit you, how can you get their attention at all? People want to hear from you, and want a good reason to contact you. But if they hear from your competitor offering something they want, and they can grab it sitting right at their computer now, they will! Can you blame that business went to your competitor? It’s not that they have forsaken you. They just simply haven’t heard from you through the right channels!
Our Solution: Communicate with your clients and potential clients regularly. Let them know what you can offer that would help them. It could be simply sharing: an idea (i.e. a simple tool from a CPA to help take advantages of tax loopholes), a product/service you have ( i.e. for IT professionals a tool that would improve productivity or reliability), a highlight of your services that everyone may not know about, a professional photograph of you that reminds them how helpful you have been to them!
